2024/25 Charly Alcaraz

I see everybody lost their minds for a few hours without having all the facts 🤣

Good signing, young lad still improving already better than what we had for absolute buttons comparably.

Worst case scenario he leave after only two years at probably a comparably low weekly age

At very worst he’s a great squad option compared to bringing on Harrison or Lindstrom… this lad gets goals and assists and makes things happen!

Needs to stop being viewed as 2 years. As it’s being reported the club have an option for another year, that as good as makes it a 3 year deal. Which is fine.

Unless he has absolutely crashed and burned here meaning we don’t take it up. And then it’s better than the usual 5 year deals we gave everyone and had to pay them until the very end when they left for free.

2 years with an option to a 3rd shows we are finally being ran properly. Mosh would have paid twice the asking price, given him a 5 year deal on 120 grand a week and then wondered why his business was failing.

Add in Gana and its a cracking start to the summer rebuild.
Exactly. After the Moshiri disaster we should be very wary of handing out long contracts to players.

Branthwaite is on £35k and your £3m/yr guess would put Alcaraz on £60k.
Brandizzle will surely be on £80k+ by the end of the summer if he's not sold. He'll be in a great position to have his agent negotiate a new deal - and he'd be worth it.

Even though he won't even be able to spend £35k a week as it's so much money, you can never have too much money. Let's not forget he could easily walk in at United or Chelsea and they'd probably put him on over £150k a week, in Chelsea's case likely on a 7-year contract or something which would guarantee him over £50m earnings.

Leaving aside the 2 year length of the deal, I see him drifting in and out of games and we need a lot more consistency from our first team players.

He's decent but I cant say he's that signing that gets you thinking we might be moving into a different category of club anytime soon.
Will you just wind it in with your constant negativity, for goodness sake, it's so boring now.
