He joined them in January and they were relegated the same season. Imagine they needed the cash and saw an opportunity with Juve. He may also just not have fancied continuing to play in the Championship at the time. I’m more confused why Flamengo are selling him on so quickly. Could be a lot of things.
Watched some of his highlight reels on you tube, he picks a good pass and is a very strong powerful runner. I know it's just highlight reels but. I am looking forward to seeing how he gets on over the next few months.
He had signed a a new contract so looked like he wanted to stay .
Juventus came calling and took him on with a loan with an option to buy for £40 million,
They didn't take it up, at the end
But that was a decent deal for a player if it had worked out for southampton.
Supposed to have had off field issues with splitting up with his girlfriend and struggling with the language and he got dropped, prior to that.

Must agree, I want one too. Anyone more knowledgeable on these things know if he plays as a number ten and a central midfielder? Get the impression he’s CM that can move forward.

Lol. I played with a couple guys from Argentina back in the day. Nicest people in the world off the field but in game they were head cases. Glad Everton finally got another one from there.I take it back
