How did you think he did centrally vs Palace?

At least an 8/10 ?

Never seen centrally again.

Meanwhile...we see others rewarded for abysmal levels of quality.
Don’t think he played particularly well other than the decisive moments (which is in fairness a quality unto itself). I’m pretty sure I said as much at the time.

Fair enough ;)

I think based on others effectiveness and attacking threat he deserved a chance again centrally.

If others were also treated the same way it would make sense in a way but they seem to be rewarded for failure.

Anyway. Its just annoying to me.

No I can agree with that. I just think it’s been the run of games we’ve had, you can’t have passengers.

He doesn’t seem effective when we don’t have the ball.

Would like to see him start the next two home games.

Don't think he's at a level to do the running, covering etc that Doucs does. He struggles on the wing in this regard, there's no chance he'll do it in the middle, without a lot of improvement.
The diff btwn him and Illi, defensively, is night and day.
Moyes likes an aCM not an ACM or 10 and Charly is no James to turn a head...maybe he's worth developing but can see why he's no way near to starting.

McNeil on left with Alcaraz and Ndiaye central is a totally different match.
Issue is who do you play on the right then?!

I wouldn’t be playing Alcaraz over Ndiaye in the middle. And to be honest I don’t think we can cater for Ndiaye centrally let alone Alcaraz.

Look how solid we’ve been recently, that’s down to the tactics and personnel, we’re masking as many issues as we can.

You’re right, mate. Right wing is vulnerable. That’s why in my opinion it’s our top need in the transfer window.
