Not quite understand why he is not starting...Had he started tonight, we would have won this.

There could be the 8 starts clause in his contract they are trying to avoid hitting too soon. Moyes did basically insinuate he wasn't the calibre of signing he'd like to make just before we signed him. Personally I think he's more than good enough. Fingers crossed he'll force us to open the purse strings before the season is done, through sheer weight of performances.

Came on, miles better than Doucoure.

Expect to see Doucoure start again against West Ham

He’s the only impact we have from the bench at the moment though.

Think we often underestimate how important that is.

Seems to me he brings Doucoure’s energy, plus technical ability and guile.

Don’t see a downside to him starting instead. Except perhaps that we can’t bring him on again second half.

Well if we don't sign him because we are lining up better players then we will he spending big this summer which is great news. If we don't sign him to save on money to get soucek then that would be terrible. 15 millions is dirt cheap nowadays for a young player that can affect our play.

Need him starting to keep us on a front foot. He is a good outlet, drives forward and can pick a pass. With Doucs we will stay camped and concede territory.
Looks a decent player and would love to see him and Ndiaye together

tbf mate I'd rather be 2-0 up with better players on the pitch and then consolidate with subs if need be.

He's so far ahead of Doucoure and what he offers as a footballer it's embarrassing if anyone has any defence of why he's not in the starting 11.

Is Alacaraz a world beater? Nope.
Is he miles and miles and miles ahead of Doucoure and what he can offer to the team? Yep.

I agree. It’s money and the clause. That’s all. I have enough faith in Moyes to see the chasm between Charly and Doucs.

He was okay when he came on, but his decision making was poor. Booked for foolish behaviour and on two occasions he chose to shoot rather than play in players who could have scored.
