Championship Thread 25/26 Season

Ok, tell me when City Arsenal or some big got a punishment
If they ever get relegated to the EFL we might see it . Historically the EFL have punished clubs to a point where it seems harsh but they’ve consistently done it , in
Huge contrast to the EPL .

I think the premier league are beyond corrupt but it feels unfair to use them as a stick to beat a separate organisation.

Somebody has just sent me the article from the telegraph and it’s crazy . Openly discussed within Southampton , other clubs suspected they’d been victims and their CEO admitted it to Steve Gibson at the first leg and apologised saying they’d pay a fine with Gibson understandably reacting angrily .

Seems Southampton had simultaneously been extremely calculating yet very naive .

Bizarre story

Players apparently thinking of suing the club I saw this morning

Heard a radio solent post game interview earlier from a player saying the coach is so prepared , on top of all the opposition tactics and moves . How to break their specific press etc .

I think the saints whistleblower and the exposure of various whatsaspp groups might produce evidence that undermines players cases .

It was a severe and justified sanction precisley because it was the EFL. The Premier League would never have the will to follow suit because of the untouchable teams who make them soooo much money!
Ye. The EFL aren’t as beholden to the big institutions like the prem is. Think the punishment is fair tbh. What else could they do.

I wonder how the Southampton fans in there hilarious spy costumes are feeling now?
Maybe they should have kept a low profile instead of openly mocking the event.
I would imagine it will be party time in Portsmouth this week.

In all honesty that’s my favourite part of the whole debacle , waking up this morning with a useless Wembley ticket in your hand looking at your bins and camouflage outfit in the corner of the room I suspect you’re going to feel the hit hard .

Reckon most of the so-called Big 6 have video cameras set up at each of the non-Big 6 training grounds and probably funded by the PL. Either that or Sky Sports record each training session as part of their weekly insight of each club and then pass it on for a fee to their cherished few.

Probably you are right But until that happens, I'll leave room for doubt. Money rules
