Royal Blue Jersey

Player Valuation: £35m
First it's on, then off, now possibly on again?

4th) Arsenal 55 pts +23 (GD)
5th) Bolton 53 pts -2 (GD)
6th) Everton 50 pts +16 (GD)

Our goals difference is fabulous, as a side note, but check out that gap. If Arsenal lose their next two (Bolton & Newcastle, very tough!) and we win our next two (Bolton & Charlton, equally so!) then the table might look like this;

4th) Everton 56 pts +16 (GD)
5th) Bolton 56 pts -2 (GD)
6th) Arsenal 55 pts +19 (GD)

It's possible..!

Theyve also got a derby against Spurs & Chelsea RBJ. You gotta love ifs and buts! With the leauge shaping up as it is i think we have the toughest run in! But its in our own hands.

I dont think we're quite ready for it again.

I think we need to test our qualitys in the UEFA Cup (again).

As much as i would love us to qualify for the CL i dont think we'll manage it this season, Arsenal win their game in hand and they are 8 points ahead of us with only 6 games to go, not impossible but unlikely.
The UEFA Cup on the other hand i think we will qualify for, i watched the Fulham game and couldn't help but feel/sense that there was an inevitability about the outcome of the match, ( How many free headers did they get and miss ? )
We are destined to qualify, i can feel it in my water lads.

Yeah I know Danny. Points thrown away at Aston Villa and Spurs wrecked the dream for me personally, but with things developing as they are of late...well, this is football. Anything can happen!

Watford to stay up, Chelsea to win the title, Everton to get champions league? Well ok. The watford one was a bit too much... :P

We could do a Big Dunc 2004 and overturn United on our patch. Pompey did it, why can't we? If we generate an atmopshere (something we've sadly failed to do of late), attack them from the off, try and abuse Rooney as much as we can [crowd] then we could snatch it. I don't see Ronaldo getting much joy out of Lescott either to be honest, the form he's in :D

If we do manage to garner all 3 points from the United encounter, who knows, perhaps that could spur our season to even greater heights. We can hope...!

arsenal losing three on the trot is something they dont suffer regularly and they go to newcastle with not many strikers available (no henry, van persie, walcott) baptista has only been sood in spells and adebayor is also hit and miss.

when did arsenal last put on a real show where midfielders got in on the act? blackburn in december wasnt it?

The Bolton game tomorrow is if anything a 6 pointer that is how crucial it is for our Euro aspirations. Minimum is a draw, lets get over this hurdle then worry about other games later.

If we get there it will be because we have the necessary points needed to qualify thus beating the 16 clubs below us. As long as it is mathematically possible I will hold out the hope that we make it. Having watched both Utd and Chelsea yesterday we can beat both so please don't write those games off yet.

its a bit of a stretch, i really cant see arsenal continuing to lose, we have crunch games against

bolton
pompey
man ure
chelsea

unfortunatley the last two will be playing their big guns from now on because the 'pressure is on' and the games in the press have started... and you know what that means....

...dodgy refereeing decisions.

I quite agree, one game at a time, and lets just enjoy the run-in. If we happen to get the results, then fine, but I feel that we'll be in a 3 way fight for the 5-7 spots.
