We really should consider breaking away from this godforsaken league and country. We're respected a lot more on the continent than here.

We really shouldn't. It's a dreadful idea and one I suspect will lead to mass protests by fans if things progress down that route in any meaningful way.

It's inevitable. We damn well make sure we're one of the founders of the Super League and not join up a decade or so later. We'll be further behind the powerhouses than we are currently.

They need to fix the FFP rules and enforce them, which will not happen...you cannot compete with the Oil States within the current model; these teams know they are elite clubs who can earn much more outside of the current UEFA model.






Liverpool cant compete, despite breaking the World transfer record for a Defender and a Goalkeeper.

Honestly, this is like th 4th time in 18months this has come out with the same clubs going along. They should be banned outright right now or at least docked massive amounts of points. How many times do these clubs have to threaten before every other team in the leagues get sick of their crap? Ridiculous.

I just hope that if these teams do break away to form a super league that they don’t get let back into the top flight when it all goes wrong. They should have to work their way back up again from non league.

Banning their players from representing their respective countries would be a pure power move if they did that.

That would turn fans from other countries against the idea as well.

I’m sure most footy fans from South America wouldn’t give much of a hoot about what happens to the PL as long as they get to watch their favourite European teams compete in a massive competition... however if it meant losing all their best players for the national team for the World Cup, they’d certainly kick off.
