Champions League Final

While I would be livid if they won, it is strangely not preoccupying me in the same way as it did when they won last, or the Athens game, or when they nearly won the league.

For me, it's because they've deserved it this year. In past years, they've fluked through games or outright cheated/had corrupt referees.

This year, none of that - they finished miles off in the league because they deserved to, and they're in the final of the CL because they've played well in those games and deserve to be there.

If I were a neutral, I'd objectively be saying Liverpool have been the best side in this years competition. In the past, only a lunatic would say that were the case.

Madrid's run to the final: PSG, Juventus and Bayern.

Liverpool's run to the final: Porto, City and Roma.

I'm not sure we'd have a Liverpool v Madrid final if those fixtures were swapped around.

Im the same, I think there is a few reasons for it, one is I really cant see them winning the league now, which is the main one. City have got that boxed off, the one they really want they aint getting any time soon.
The other reason it wont bothered me as much as the currect squad/manager dont bother me at all, there star player is a genuinely world class player but without the personality of Suarez and they have no local icons like Gerrard now.

Besides lets face it, the fans are unbearable whoppers anyway, win or lose, it makes no difference, avoid them at all costs if you can regardless

That's the key bit. They've won nothing in a decade despite spending a billion and they are still utter sweats

You missed the gargantuans of Maribor. They've had it given them easy and got gifts at City, then gifted again in the first leg at Roma - aaaaaallllmost messed it up in the second leg.

They're not half the team Madrid are.

If this was a semi, over two legs, the RS would win, easy.

The fact its a one off makes me hopeful of a Madrid win.

Seriously mate don't let all that fool ye, Liverpool can and probably will win this.
Don't think for one second that this will be a formality for Madrid.
For me the team who scores first wins this, as the team who is chasing the game will get destroyed because both attacks can be devastating if given space.

Nervous now if I’m honest, can’t fathom them winning it. I’m in town now and it’s awash with ‘top reds’ all bouncing about in their replica shirts and scarves. Honestly hope they get absolutely battered.

And if the ref had done his job in the city game then they may well have gone out.

Don't do it to yourself mate....
You know its happening
If Bayern had beaten Madrid in that SF I'd have been resigned to them winning. They are a solid outfit but could easily be rolled over by Liverpool under the wrong circumstances. Make no mistake: THAT was Liverpool's chance right out of the window when Madrid edged that tie. I could sense the air rush out of their tyres when Bayern were knocked out. They initially started out in the days after it with the bravado of what they'd likely do to Madrid, but the last week has seen them rightly wind their necks in.

Hard to call and either side could win 4-0 and it wouldn't be a surprise. RM have been there and done it though and have a much stronger bench than the RS should changes be required.

If the RS win though I'll guarantee that there will be thousands of them out tonight claiming they had a ticket but their flight got cancelled when the actual truth of the matter is that they've never even been to a game at the pit.
