Chairman on Signings/Finance

I get a feeling that this is a 'brace yourselves' statement. Justifying a sale before it's announced maybe? Or just basically saying we aint signing anyone from anywhere....

It's nice to know that it's all to protect us though (the fans)

Glad I was sat down when I read that, what an amazing insight into our great club. No mention of the search for investment 24/7 or sitting in the boys pen. He is that full of **** he probably sat in the pigs pen.

Bull****. Recession has only affected us then that we're paralyzed han? The banks won't even lend you 10M? I don't buy this crap. If that is the case then why can't everton change it's bank. Why haven't the board found out a solution for this problem?

It's easy to blame the bank Kenwright/wrong cos you aint got anything in your own bank account. The club is DONE making significant progress, now it's a matter of us staying where we are but that may not happen cos the likes of Felli,Rodwell would wana leave sooner or later.

I think it's good that, most likely due to pressure from the Blue Union, Kenwright has released some sort of a statement, people have been complaining about not doing so anyway. We're skint but now it's just official. No point of borrowing 10 mil if it only increases our debt burden and thus the risk of a firesale / Portsmouth / whatever.

“That’s what we have been doing and the banks are tightening in now and we just cannot borrow any more money..."

Yes, you cant borrow money. So why aren't you generating it yourselves? And what happened to the overdraft facility? Has that been taken away now by the bank?

Epic fail.

Probably reached and beached a long time ago!

We have traded though. We've generated £5m in fees from the sales of Pienaar and Vaughan. Wheres' that £5m gone?

Also doesn't explain how Stoke, Wolves and Fulham and so on consistently outspend us with lesser fanbases, merchandise sales, attendances and so on.

Can only be due to ****ty short-sighted short term management policies.

He said in the BU interview that the Pienaar money has gone to the bank.

Stokes, Wolves and Fulham all have richer owners than us and small wage bills mate.

well hes made himself look a right idiot with that statement, there has to be some kind of protest at the 1st home game now, at least to focus press atention to find out what is going on

It never ceases to amuse me when he gets lambasted for not communicating with fans and then lambasted for communicating with fans. TBH i think he would be better of he exercised a certain two finger more - hes far to nice for his own good.

In all fairness dave how do you expect them to generate the cash themselves they are working 24/7 already.

I think the question on everyone's mind today is: "when is Everton's own Napoleon Bonaparte going to exile himself?".

He looks and sounds deranged. He's completely lost it.
