I’ve got no problem with his nationality, he could be Martian for all I care. It’s just that watching him try to run and thinking about how much we paid for him and how much we are paying him makes me weep. He got a toe ender on Saturday, after a piece of brilliance to set him up and then took his more difficult chance, which was disallowed, very well, but, let’s remember, we were playing the team firmly at the bottom of the championship.

His inability to run or to play with his back to goal or to lead the line leaves us with no focal point. Fair play to the whoppers who thought him being our back up striker meant that Kean and Walcott could go out on loan. That was never going to come back and bite us in the arse was it?
