Cenk is a VERY good third-choice striker. Though not setting the PL on fire, he really is a good goalscorer, and would do nicely for lower-half sides. Not many teams have a better option as third choice tbh.

I wouldnt agree. I thought he works hard in fairness. Ability isnt going to set the world on fire. But not the worst 3rd choice front man either if fit.

because he is slowly he isn't that hot outside the box, inside the box, he can get a good strike off and is half decent. Carlo's new team is much more adept at getting quality balls into the box. I reckon he will do OK when he is asked to come on late in games.

I think if he gets fit he will be useful from the bench. Not good enough to be a starter but if we are chasing a game does know where the goal is. Ideally we upgrade him in the winter window or next summer but I think at this stage there is still a place for him as a back up.

Carlo trusted him till January. He will not disappoint him. Back in match day squads in two weeks I reckon. TM reports he should be fit to play on November 2. Maybe even earlier since we didnt go all out for Josh King.

A lot of revisionism going on in here, but not surprising when the Bolasie thread has everyone hoping for his return to the squad too.

Absence makes the heart grow fonder I guess.

Cenk is still crap and ill suited to this league though.

He does score, and our team creates loads of chances. He doesn't have to be grease lightening in that team. When fit, he will be an acceptable backup option.

I was thinking about my fully fit 18 and he would make it onto the bench. If DCL was injured I would move Richarlison inside rather than start him but he would definitely offer some sort of threat if chasing just couldn't be relied on to score consistently.
