His lucky his competition is only DCL and niasse

Yeah, getting no service. There was a player position map from the game at the weekend and it showed Cenk upfront where he should be, but Walcott and DCL were mostly around the halfway line area, he might not be the quickest but he's not getting the best service either at the moment.

i wonder when these some particular "fans" in here will understand you cant get a lukaku replacement for 22 million euro. lukaku was something else if he was a average player he wouldnt go for nearly 90 million. i dont want to talk harsh on ppl but come on you should know football and transfers better than this

We’ll sign a striker that Silva actually wants in January.

next summer i think, a team would have to be in big trouble to sell a really top notch striker in jan. And that's what we need, which we may have to wait until we can offer european football. We'll see i suppose, just can't see it this jan sadly.

Cenk will struggle to get 10 goals....
DCL will get 10+......
Richarlison will be top goalscorer...15 goals.
Walcott will get 6-8 goals....
Niasse will bundle in 5/6 goals.....

Hope I am wrong about Cenk but from what I have seen so far I would prefer DCL up front with pace....

Maybe he needs a goal to kickstart his season but come on Cenk lad get into that box & get a goal make it happen....

i'm still undecided on rashford, think he just had a purple patch and he was at united. Iheanacho looked much better, but as soon as he left city and didn't have their wealth supplying him, look at what he is. The same thing would happen to rashford if he came here, that's my gut feeling anyway.

Alot will depend on where Bernard plays, if behind the striker then the new signings (including Rashford) would look like this;

If Bernard is as good as Richarlison + the right side sees an improvement on Walcott then there could be a very exciting + rapid front 4 creating chances with ease.

ppl still bashing cenk while siggy does nothing. if siggy create chances and he still doesnt score then i would bash cenk too but no one is creating for him this guy is no messi you cant expect him to create for himself

Sigurdsson is like marmite really.

He seems to have a big following on here and also those who think hes useless.

I think he is a good player but just not suited to a fast counter attacking side.

Rashford suits an attacking system which he isnt given for Utd or England. Stick him in a attack minded system where the attacking 3/4 can all interchange into centre and outwide and he'll do well imo.

I can see him going in January and we would be fools to not be in for him.

Tosun is over rated, deeney did today similiar to what Tosun does week in week out yet people wouldn't want Big Troy rocking up here.

He isn't scoring, he isn't occupying defenders and I dont see that changing.

Stick him in a Palace, Southampton or Watford shirt and you wouldn't sit back and think "whats he doing playing for that lot"

That for me says it all and the same for the likes of Gylfi and Niasse.

Agree with this. Tosun as an experienced international striker has to be hitting decent numbers or getting into the right positions.

In a quick team he lacks pace.

Cenk is a solid 7/10 stiker but that's his limit
DCL is a 6.5/10 striker who might turn into a 8/10
Oumar does not fit into any time or space dimension we currently know and manages to be -1/10 and 12/10 at the same time

If DCL is the one scoring he has to be the one starting...has a higher ceiling and we arent getting top 4 this season so...why persist with Tosun?

Tosun can slot, if we feed him, he doesnt need pace, its about feeding the Cenk and he will score.

Hes not missing 3 or 4 a game, if he starts getting chances and misses them then of course we are in big trouble.

I suspect midfield and up top will be our main focus the next 2 windows regardless.

I can see Moshiri loosening the purse strings if our permanent signings perform well...

Hes our player now. Is he currently good enough to be a top 4 forward? Thats the only question which needs to be asked in the mid-long term.
