Still not convinced with Cenk he seems ordinary...

Oumar played at west ham always looked more likely to score & then he did, Tosun does not have enough for me...

Hope I am wrong mind...

Because of his pace and headless runnning. He wants to run on the end of long balls and chase lost causes.

Cenk wants to be involved in the build up and on the end of moves. Hence why he tends to play better when Walcott is on the pitch.

Just two different types of striker to a side that doesn't know how to attack.

Need a creative number 10/CM to get the best out of him

I think anyone saying hes had a few nice finishes and that's it are being harsh

every time I have watched him closely he seems to have a lovely first touch and be able to hold the ball up well, but when he has no one pushing forward with him who is he supposed to lay it off too

hence why as some have mentioned he plays well when Walcott is playing

I was part of the "weve been rinsed for garbage yet again" crew originally, but I have changed my mind and can deffo see a player in there

deffo more to offer than Jelavic

Still think he’s mediocre tbh.

Haven’t seen anything that stands him apart from the run of the mill strikers in the division like Ashley Barnes, Rondon, Charlie Austin, Slimani etc.

id have rondon personally haha

I think hes a bit better than Ashley barnes haha

Giving the lad grief because he’s not got the technique of Marco Van Basten or the skill of Lionel Messi is a bit cheap.

He’s playing in a team full of yard dogs who can’t pass water never mind pass to a team mate, managed by a manager who set up with 5 defenders and 3 defensive midfielders yesterday against West Ham, and who’s only tactic is to hit it long.

But yeah, he’s gash because he hasn’t scored loads.

I think tosun has some really good technique for a striker. Just the issue that he is not big enough or fast enough for PL. I would like to see another striker though would love to have 3/4 strikers genuinely fighting for places

So far what I think we've seen from Tosun is:

Hes got a good first touch and holds the ball up well. Hes not that fast, fast enough to be average but not enough to get in behind. He strikes the ball very well. He also passes the ball really well and seems to really want someone else to play off of to pass the ball through a defense, and Tosun is capable of doing it, but we dont have a midfielder who is as well. Hes not got the workrate of Niasse. But then again who does?

All in all, if you want Niasse, we have him, if you want someone who lacks 2 of the 3 main qualities of Niasse, but is a good team player who strikes the ball very well, we have him too. His strike rate was decent, especially considering how few chances he got to strike the ball. Id love to see him in a side without Bolaise, with Lookman in the middle, and a 2nd center mid who actually pushes forward with some semblence of an attacking lineup.

Its ironic that Allardyce wanted him, because hes a forward best suited to team play and thats the last thing BFS wanted.

He's shown a Couple of nice finishes but not much else. Looking very much a jelavic at this point. Some of our fans really have gone overboard with this feller
Think it's a tad unfair to judge any of our forwards too harshly this year, given the service and support they've received has been virtually zilch. Even Drogba would have struggled badly the way we've set up this season.

Personally I've seen glimpses of a footballer in there, and I think he'd be an asset in a team that had more control during a match. Some nice finishes from him too. I'd like to see him with a better manager and better players around him.

I don't think anybody has really gone overboard about him. I think most just want him to be a success, simply because we've had so many failures lately.

Spot on mate. It’s not as if Harry Kane would grab a handful in this team. We don’t create chances for anyone, that’s the top and bottom of it.
