..I just think he’s ok. From what i’ve seen, he’s a decent finisher but he’s not the type to give defenders a headache and score goals from nothing. If we are a team that create lots of chances, then you can understand the wisdom of acquiring him, but we don’t create many chances.

I don’t really understand, i’d like Steve Walsh to explain the strategy.

Well many didn't want theo and have deemed Baines finished about 10 times. Rom was always deemed fat and lazy, Niasse was worst player ever then our saviour, I even remember COleman being finished after a couple of games. Naismith was amazing then sh1te, same with Valencia, eto'o,Delo, the point is, we turn on players one game and then big them up the next. Judging Cenk on this team that has one shot per game and the lowest ratio in the entire prem is utter madness and so very Everton

Think people are just worried we will go into next season with him as the main striker and end up regretting it.

If we can put together a decent set of attacking midfielders to play behind him then personally I can see him doing well.

As you say though, in the current set up it's hard to see what he's expected to do for the team other than be an isolated target to lump the ball at.

..it’s just symptomatic of this disjointed transfer strategy that he’s another acquisition brought in who doesn’t fit into the team. Last season Man Utd created a host of chances but failed to convert so they went out and bought a finisher in Lukaku. That makes sense, but we just buy players with no view to a team strategy.

It’s why we pay lots of money for a DoF.

Hopefully Brands comes in with a vision and is allowed time to implement it, because it's not something we are going to remedy in one or two windows.
