We have the quickest player in the league playing next to him, it's not a problem.

It is a problem if there's a counter attack and tosun has the ball the defenders know he won't take them on, he will pass it back or sideways hence inviting the opposition defence to play a high line.

Also on a counter attack if walcott has the ball he can't play it ahead of tosun to run into as he won't get it.

That's the disadvantage and imo it's a pretty big one. Take lukaku flickon for rashfords first goal today, if someone flicked that onto tosun he wouldnt have the pace do anything with it.

He is probably lacking some fluidity when he speaks in English and don't want to look like someone who cannot put couple of words together. He will probably switch to English next year.

His strike rate from open play and his Utd and England career are completely irrelevant as we're talking about penalties which you seem to have failed to grasp. The statistics unequivocally show that Baines, Gylfy and Tosun are far more likely to convert penalties than Rooney so the only reason his first up instead of fourth as he should be is because he's using his status to indulge his own ego.

His link play was good Joe. His first touch is outstanding.

Lack of speed? Maybe, but he's a willing runner and that's sound enough.

Yakubu wasn't a pace merchant and was a boss slotter.

Branch, Barlow and Cadamarteri all had blistering pace but were utterly witless and poor finishers.
