If this is the guy that they want, then the deal should have been done and dusted and him signed up by 2nd January regardless of the price haggling. It has been obvious to everyone on the Planet that we have needed a striker since last summer and it is and has been the number one priority. It is a no brainer that clubs are going to try and get as much out of us as they can and take advantage of our desperate situation. Window opened 2 days ago and if this is the guy that they want then he should be training with the team now getting ready for the game on Friday. Get it done regardless of the price. Whatever the cost is makes no difference to us as supporters. It isn't our money. It is quality players on the pitch that we need and i couldn't care less how much that costs. fwiw I watched a couple of Besiktas' group games today and he looks class.

Some of his first touch play was outstanding.
