I wouldn't be too sure about that.....we are slowly being dragged back toward the strugglers and it is almost impossible to see us winning at Spurs next time out.

A few of those teams behind us win their next match our next home game against Baggies will sure be demanding our attention :(

Khal, you and I are on the same page regarding this. Everton remains very much in the relegation mix and I for one will be keeping very close eye on proceedings.
It won't be pretty watching, but I will be fully engaged.

Being an Everton supporter is hard yakka!! lol

Just stop it. Bookies are giving 100 to 1 odds for us being relegated, and I reckon that's about right. I'm repeating myself, but I'll say it again anyway: in order for us to be relegated, we would have to be worse -- *way* worse, in some cases -- then every team below us bar the bottom two. In other words, we would have to be so bad that Stoke, Bournemouth, West Ham, Palace and Newcastle would *all* have to be 6+ points better than us. Those are teams that are all averaging 1 point per match, or worse. It's thinkable that one or two, maybe even three of those teams could pass us, but Stoke is as close to us as we are to Europe! We could probably end as low as 15th, but to go as low as 18th we would need to have a collapse of historic proportions. The team is not good, but it's not *that* bad.

I'm confident we've done more than enough to show we can be a top half side this year.

But that's it.

Get through the season now. Get to 40 points first and foremost and then see where we are from there.

All this season has done has shown just how reliant Martinez and Koeman both were on Lukaku and Barkley.

Anyway, barring any cock-ups (either Besiktas moving the posts again, or us being meffs) this deal should be done.

Big fee (well, is it, anymore?) and big wages, for a player none of us really know enough about to judge.

If Sam has wanted him a while I'm willing to trust his judgement in the sense that he'll bring what we're missing up top - which is physicality.

Then it's simple. We need a left-back and we need a central midfielder who has the physicality and ability to run a game.

Schneiderlin looked to have finally found some form against Chelsea and WBA, but has gone back to worse than his old self in the last two games, so if Nzonzi is available, get him.

We also need a CB, but tbh I think that I'd be willing to stick with Williams and Holgate in that position as first choice, and have Keane and Jags as back up, until the summer.

Just talked to someone close to Cenks team. As far as they know the teams agreed all along, however the bjk president didnt like the portion of the amount that is upfront I think they are going to update some bonuses like profit from next sales percentage and perhaps first payment portion, person told me Cenk has been in UK all along waiting for that issue to resolve he thought it wouldnt be right for him to travel to liverpool even though he wanted to before an agreement is on paper between 2 clubs. Everyone is meeting in London later today. It should clear out by Friday. Cenk said to people around him that he didnt reply to any inquires from 2 other teams and told bjk president if he is allowed to leave BJK mid season, he prefers to play and prove himself in Everton

And the rest of the players were as well, without them look how garbage they are. Although Coleman's name I would argue deserves to mentioned alongside those two, more so than Barkley in my opinion.

Coleman and Baines are massive misses, they provide so much to our attacking threat. The number of times Baines would whip in a cross and Coleman would be running in to finish it.

for the moment the chairman of beşiktaş says : news about price increase are not true. negotiations are ongoing. we are acting according to our own circumstances. Chinese have offered € 35 million for cenk but we have not taken to our agenda because it is important for us that where cenk wants to play.

Pretty sure the Besiktas president has just come out and been very vague on the whole situation.

Said that Cenk was in talks with us but nothing has been confirmed.

Also mentioned that a €35m bid has been received from China.

Sounds far from over.

Besiktas President Fikret Orman: Before Everton a club from China offered 35 million Euros for Cenk Tosun. And we said no. He is very valuable player for us
