So does the director of football have to negotiate all the financial aspects of transfers ? If so how exactly did Steve Walsh become qualified to deal with this type of thing ? He's a scout basically, did he ever get training in dealing with complex financial deals ?

Yet they offered us next to nothing to loan our players. The Yobo deal...should never deal with that club again.

I don't know about Slimani but you can't get Aboubakar for 30M. If you can get Slimani for 30 then it really is a good alternative.

Hope it falls through, Walsh gets sacked, we get a proper Director of Football in, Allardyce gets the sack, we appoint a forward thinking manager and start to operate like a top Premier League football club rather than "proper football men" taking punts on random players because they can't be bothered to plan properly.
