Unfortunately too much salty words from both fan camps because of miscommunication I guess. I see such underestimating and salty comments for Cenk which he doesn't deserve and that makes Besiktas fans rage but I understand Everton fans because you've spent quite money for useless players and left a bad taste. If Cenk signs, he is not gonna be one of them I believe because he is not coming from a mid level Spanish Team or Dutch league, he is coming from a winner team and he is ready. If he makes for the FA cup, he will score I am sure.
Besiktas fans are not in joy of losing Cenk even the fee will be a Turkish record. He put Negredo on the bench ( the highest paid player in the team around 4.3M Euros ), Cenk gets only 1.7M Euro/year. And it's need to be mentioned, in Turkey we have a tendency to give more credit to foreign players more than Turkish players even they are good or better. Cenk is one of these player who has to prove himself in every single game. That's the curse of Turkish players. When Negredo came, everyone wanted to see him play but Cenk put such an input even Negredo said that "he deserves it".
Cenk always said he doesn't want to leave the club because he is happy here, loved by the team and fans, enjoying the playing style of Besiktas and proving himself in the CL.
He commented about pre-season Palace transfer that "he is pleased that he didn't go there".
So neither Besiktas trying to get rid of him nor he wants to make a break from the club.
Besiktas in deep dept, if an unrejectable fee comes they will let him go however the President of the Club said that "If we let him go, the team is also important because we care about Cenk, that team must as competitive as Besiktas so he can enjoy his career" Palace was not one of them.
If Cenk scored the same amount of goals and was playing for a mid level German team or PL team his fee would be 2x without question, so i think the current fee is a steal- you are not tricked.
Everton and Besiktas are big and historical clubs which don't need a "who is better" pissing competition. Besiktas playing phenomenal especially for the last 2-3 seasons, proved themselves in the CL and I hope they will arrange a friendly game with Everton so you can see Cenk is coming from a crappy team or not

Negotiations are ongoing but Besiktas board are not happy with 20m euro offer. Cenks father already agreed terms with Everton and reckons his son should play in England.
Inter stepped in to see availability. Appearantly there is a rumor going around from istanbul that Alan Shearer pressing on newcastle to make a bid. Newcastle was interested in the player early season.
I think reluctancy of a solid offer may mean that besiktas president may divert towards italian clubs. I think cenks preference to play in Everton is a plus. But you know things can change quickly in this market....

actually If this deal actually happen it will be win-win for all parties.. everton can't find another strike like cenk for 30M pound and besiktas can't sell any other player for over 15M euro so money good for them.. and cenk will happy to play at PL with rooney.. hi guys besiktas fan here and unlike my hairy brothers i will give u true opinion fact. tosun has been a very improved player but my home liga is very poor. if the everton spends this money it should be better invested in superior liga strikers like serie a or bundesliga or greek liga where u will find better qualities. go black eagles!!
