Anyone got this ?
Been down the walk-in twice cos my hand just locked up, index finger, thumb, wrist and forearm went so painful that my hand just became a sore useless lump at the end of my arm.
It did it again today while I was fitting a lock, It's not even the hand I use either, I'm right handed and it's t'other, but you have to hold a chisel with it which when you can't grip becomes a bit of a challenge. Felt really sickly as well, stomach churningly sick, I wasn't gonna vomit like, it was just a sickly feeling.
The effects lasted a couple of hours, and even though you think you aren't using it in that time, you move, or muscles twitch and it's agony.

They said to go to the G.P. and get a refferal, but I couldn't get an appointment in the 4 days available before I go away.

Hello mate, my mum had it for a while. She eventually got a small operation, under local anaesthetic I think, to sort it and it's been sound since. I know know a few people who've got it but doing what you do I'd get it sorted quickly.

couple of months !! i'm not a footballer FFS.

I've read what the op is and the symptoms and shiz and they are all there, it goes like a bruised colour as well which then goes.

I can't decide if I would go for a hook, or a multi tool type ?

Sorry depends what your job intales no heavy lifting! Multi tool type (leatherman/gerber style would be cool)

I'm right handed & it's my left, I could get a cheek hitcher attachment.

I believe that sitting down to wipe your arse causes this.

I don't sit down to wipe my arse, I remain seated.

Standing would be way more difficult one handed, whereas I can use the seat to assist and only need 1 hand.

Funny you should mention this...just last night my left hand (I'm right handed) was closing on it's own and I had to strain to open it back up...everytime I tried to grasp something with it hurt. Has me worried. No problems today though. Weird.

Mate, the missus dad has just had oparations on both hands due to it. he was in quite a bit of pain. Sounnds like what you have. Come see me on Sunday before the Chelsea game an we'll have a chat.
