If Dunc win that quarter final. It may add pressure to Carlo I feel specially if he gets off to a bad start.

Even if by some miracle we actually pull this off and get Ancelotti in as manager, some of our fans will still freak out about it and be absolutely gutted. Some of our fans honestly just can't be happy unless they're unhappy!

that's a great point

if by some miracle Ancelotti is the new manager (I thought it to be unrealistic, but IMO he's the ideal hire).... our whole fanbase needs to get behind him.... enough of this calling for a new manager every 2 months...... just get behind him, for better or worse, and give him time to sort it all out

I initially agreed with you but the more I think about it, how far are we really off of the "top 4-6"? Talent and depth wise we can't be that far away Chelsea, Arsenal and Spurs, all who we got a result against in the last couple of weeks.

I really think that Silva was just a terrible manager, who massively underachieved. He set us up to play his preferred style of football irregardless of the opponent, and lacked the ability to make any mid-game adjustments. He also couldn't motivate a paper bag.

A pragmatic and inspirational manager should be able to get a tune out of this squad. Hell we just got a point at Old Trafford with Davies and Holgate as our CMs.
This is true, the league is sh*te bar Liverpool and City. Look at Leicester, do you not think a good manager could have us at that level within a transfer window or two? I'd like to bloody think so. Now is a perfect time to rocket up the places, the league is wide open.
Still don't see why Carlo would fancy a go here though it's a risky one for him.

Until he’s pictured wearing nothing but Speedo Mick’s Speedos while pretending to swim lengths on the Goodison pitch, with the hashtag #WelcomeCarlo projected on to the playing surface, I’m not buying in to any of this.
