To make it more exciting the top 4 from the previous season shouldn't be allowed to enter into it. Give other clubs outside the elite the chance of a day out at wembley and a trophy win. Lets be honest the top clubs wouldn't miss it.

At present the only hope for clubs outside of the top 4/6 is avoiding relegation which is the exact opposite of what competitive sports should be. In any other sport the competitors aim is to finish 1st and win something - thats why PL football is so flawed at present and the League Cup is the perfect opportunity to give other clubs the chance to win something and build on that success.

I would miss it.

The latter stages are far more interesting and exciting than the F.A. Cup these days IMO.

It really baffles me why we've put so little effort into this competition over the last twenty years or so. This is a cup that we could have realistically won (and should have won) at any time during that period.
A cup run makes the whole club feel good and it keeps the confidence level high which can carry on into league matches.
Let's go for it Marco. A win in the league cup final would make him our most successful manager in 24 years!!

It's a nonsense cup in my opinion. Have a league cup or have a national cup. Having both is too much.
