I know its a complete change and we should take the League Cup seriously. However Man City take it seriously every year so we are still highly unlikely to win it. Also if that team can't beat Huddersfield some serious questions need to be asked of players.

Benitez wont play a full strength team here or anywhere near it. I'd expect him to treat it like one of those Florida Cup matches. That's a mistake, but it's been forced on him by the lack of incoming players. I'd expect the bench to be used from yesterday plus maybe Gordon and Godfrey if he's in contention again.

We lost last year to a better side in man United and the year before on pens to Leicester.
