but yeah, any statos wish to confirm if we're the first ever team to buy both captains from a european final in the same transfer window? Could be the first time ever a team has bought both captains of a single european final, never mind in the same year of the final.
 
I wonder if Koeman will be ruthless enough to hand the captaincy to someone else. No disrespect to Jags, but he ain't no captain.

...Jagielka clearly has the respect of not only everybody in the club, but also everybody in the game. He's a great representative of the club and somebody the younger players seek out. The best captain's are not always the ones who shake their fists on a pitch.

Saying that, Jagielka's game time is likely to be limited. He's been a fine servant and is a top professional.
