Captain

Phil Neville as captain had a massive influence on our club and on our team.It was these influences that countered his limitations as a footballer.

I don't think there is a replacement at the club at the moment. We need a driving motivating force ,particularly in midfield and if Fellaini is sold I think that a midfield enforcer should be our first signing.

When Roy Keane played for Utd it was said that what made him so good as captain was that even when he wasn't at his best he still drove the others to give of their best.
I believe we need that in our midfield and I don't see any of our current squad as being a natural leader.Jagielka would be the obvious choice but he seems to lead by example rather than demanding effort.

Everyone's too nice. What's Loric Cana up to these days? Or Nigel De Jong.

We need a few head the balls I think.

Osman for me. True blue, it brought out the best in him the other night so it may well keep like that, old and experienced, even when he's shoite you can never say he doesn't put a shift in.

Good time to discuss this I reckon?

For me, a natural which most people will say will be jags ( who it will probably be anyway), I personally think Osman would be a old shout, as would bainsey.

Just my thoughts.

Apart from Jags and maybe Gibson , there doesn't seem to be a natual leader in our squad...Perhaps Mick Lyons can do guest appearances?

Baines has grown louder and more assertive(remember when Arteta used to take free kicks off him) as he's got older but I still think we could go for a more natural leader of men.

Only man who's always in there when the tackles are flying is Gibson assuming Big Mo won't be here? If he is I'd give it to him. He hates losing and loves winning.
