We was told we had all sort of captains playing for us now.

Maybe it was just me but I really noticed how Tottenham's players were all "matey" with the ref yesterday, also these top sides all have a nasty, cynical side to them which enables them to get results in whatever way necessary, we get walked over by officials and have done for years because we are too passive/soft,accept our lot, considering how Goodison is spoken about as an "intimidating"place for visitors, we don't really get numerous decisions going our way.

While that's true, the choice of captain is still very important.

Length of service shouldn't be the deciding factor. That's the same thinking that leads to so many terrible middle managers in every industry.

The captaincy needs looking at, in my opinion.
