Cancelling this season's Premier League

Should football be canceled until August and this season declared null and void?

I don't understand, what's the point of cancelling the football if the rest of the country carries on as normal? Or are we going to be under some sort of curfew?!

Sometimes there are more important things in life. If the RS have to be denied a title for the benefit of the country then we will just have to grin and bear it I’m afraid......

Look nobody has mathematically won the league yet so that's can be no complaints if it's cancelled.. it would be unfair to keep games going and risk large gatherings and possibly infect thousands with a deadly virus.
Fair's fair. Sensible policies for a sensible Britain. I can't see any major complaints if we just go ahead with that. Everyone agreed? Yup?
See you all next year then.

It’s not happening forget about it. It won’t even go to the games played behind closed doors stage, theirs far too much money involved. Only if starts hitting the hundreds or thousands affected at a very fast rate will they do something.

If they just close the airports that leaves Anfield empty anyway

If the league got cancelled this season, I actually think I would give up my season ticket and the aways and not watch Football again. I mean, it just wouldn't get any better than that in life would it. An ultimate peak, never to be beaten :celebrate:

%100 we need to be playing games behind closed doors in about 2 weeks time its the right thing to do, be a shame if no one is in to see Liverpool clinch it bit the health of the nation is more important
And also Liverpools home coming parade has to be called off, not just because of the gathering of people but because it will stretch the emergency services and the clean up operation will be too much

They'll be monitoring the sickness / death figures.
Illness speads expotenially, which is faster than arithmetically 2,4,6,8,
Bit slightly slower than geometrically, 1, 2, 4, 8, 16, 32, 64, 128, 256 etc. because each time somebody catches it the number of people susceptible drops.
But it is slow at first...gives the powers that be a false sense of security, then off like a rocket and your'e playing catch up and failing until the number of avaliable susceptible victims drops off.
Then the govt. takes the credit for the mathematics of disease expotentiality.

It'll come sooner rather than later, probably a week or 2 too late

I wonder if that's how Celtic fans feel. Wake up one day and your hated rival no longer exists, and have had to start again in the fourth division. I mean it's just off the scale, a meteor strike that would actually change how you thought about football.

Can't understand why the delay in cancelling all the games,if it came to a vote
I am sure it would be, plus the meltdown would be something we would be talking about for years to come, bring it on.

Maybe us winning something might trump an RS failure or misfortune? No?
