UEFA holding meeting on 17th March -probably hoping Liverpool have won the title on the 16th.

If the season is cancelled with games still to play, there is no way they can award the title to Liverpool. If they did this, then the three teams at the bottom would have to be relegated. This is highly likely to result in legal challenges. If the title is awarded to Liverpool and no teams are relegated, then the legal challenges could come from the top two Championship clubs.

This is the key issue really. Not just clubs being relegated but if they just stopped it and reset next year the teams with a chance of getting promoted would have a case for moaning too. Its club changing money involved.

Its a messy one, for once we should be thankful that our season always ends before the Christmas decorations come down.
