Can we? Yes. Will we? Probably not. Both Leicester and Burnley have been struggling mightily up until last week, but wed have to outplay them for the rest of the season. Due to goal differential we need to outplay Burnley by 4 points over 7 games, and LCFC by 1. Now Burnley have 4 games against the top 11, 5 against the top 12, but not much against the top 6, so its all dependent on how well they play it out. I could see them easily picking up 8 even if they didnt play particularly well. LCFC only gets 1 of the bottom teams, but again only gets 1 of the top 6, so not a very difficult schedule for them either.

Now after the 2 against Liverpool and Man City, we get 5 against the bottom 8. Should we win them? Yes. But we dont win what we should. If we took 4 of the 5, I think wed get 7th at 52 points. But I think we will choke at least 1, leading to us just missing out.

A lot depends on whether Jags remains fit. If his inspirational presence is on the pitch for the remainder of our games, I think his strength in leadership character can provide a fulcrum around which our team can gain the leverage to attain a place at the high altar which is the Europa League. Our team is full of resolute, determined character but occasionally, it is too distracted by playing high paced, one touch, Barcelona-type football. Capt Jags, whilst fully equipped to play similarly, has a pragmatic, experienced head on his shoulders. He knows when to dial back on the razzle dazzle and just get the job done. And most importantly, he has the respect of all his team. Jags has NSNO woven into his spirit. And his team will follow his lead...his motivation...his inspiration. ... We shall fight them on the beaches...we shall never surrender.

7th is as good as gone now, i think we have to win our last two games 4 0 and Burnley lose both there games 4 0 for us to get 7th.

Glad we aren't in europe next season. Can get a proper manager in and build a squad to challenge the top sides without the distraction of Thursday/Sundays.

We need to win both games, they lose both games, with a 15 goal swing in our favour.

Why bother?

With this manager and players, we would not get past the group stage, after suffering defeats to teams from Albania,Cyprus, and the Isle of Man.
