Funny that we are selling to buy isn't it.
It's not my numbers, but according to forbes magazine, that is what he is worth.

Should be room in the economy, for a LB, and a striker, if he knows how to have fun and enjoy himself, instead of this

We'll never know if we never try. I've been quite impressed with him especially in Scotland matches we're he has deputised ably at right back and not looked out of place at all. Obviously you can never be too sure regarding players from that league but Southampton bit the bullet and have profited unbelievably from doing their business there so if this is possible in anyway I'd like to see us go for it.

95m and 450k a week. I mean, we spent 45m on Sigurdsson after we'd already brought in two number 10s, so you'd have to assume it would be much more for a player in a position we desperately need to fill.

I don't see this kid with the same upside as VVD. I know he's young and seemed to hold his own in the CL. I know he's better than Martina. But I'm not sure this kid is all that great. I'm not sure exactly what he does that is so outstanding that is going to allow him to be an elite LB. he's not super fast. He's not uniquely tall or good in the air. His service is decent, his dribble is good, but 20M? Heck, no.

We'll wait for Southampton to buy him
Then watch as they sell him on for 40 million

Too many players passed us buy from the spl

Do we employ scouts?

This fellas been on the radar for a while and each season his price creeps up

You could well be right as it's truly impossible to judge players from that league, the standard is utterly appalling so you can never be sure until you bite the bullet and go for it. I believe Tierney has shown significant promise in both the champions league and international football to warrant a bid of that nature but its all guesswork from myself I admit.

The main problem is there isn't all that many alternatives to consider, and we are in the beggars club because our current option is so terrible.

An offensive player from a VERY OFFENSIVE CLUB (in more ways than one) moving to a club who's manager advocates backs to the wall defending,i don't think so.

I don’t think Allardyce see’s LB as a problem, apart from a comment about Garbutt which was clearly in reply to comments at the general meeting, he hasn’t made any noises about needing a LB. He see’s CF as our major worry but luckily we have signed the best £27m in Europe so that should be sorted now!

You, Sir, have no credentials to judge professional footballers. Leave that to Mr Steve Walsh.

Wait a minute.

It's because he knows he can rely on seasoned pros like Schneiderlin, Williams and Jagielka to protect Martina and thus prevent teams from scoring against us. Actually, that tactic doesn't appear to be working.
