Just seen on the bbc website that Coyle has signed a new contract and the news was accompanied by this photo...

Clearly the campest manager in the premier league.

Got me thinking of who the campest people to be involved in football have been.

I always thought Ljungberg had a hint of lavender about him (thanks to reidy for the photos).

Sound like ''carry on'' joke surnames but Ivan 'Campo' and Paolo 'Bento' have got to be the winners although There's a Rumanian (I think) player called 'Gay'.
 

McFadden, without a doubt, when an elderly balding german refers to you as "a cheeky young boy" then thats good enough evidence for me.

we get to tell him so next season as well, in these new days of pc chanting though i believe it is ok to raise a question about someones sexuality, something along the lines of "are you a cheeky boy"? as opposed to, "you are , a cheeky boy".
although i still go with the theory that furious denial is more homophobic than implying someone is gay.
