Is that what I do mate?

When moyes left we could have had the pick of the managers. When royle joined we were at the bottom. I have no idea who I'd have preferred at the time but royle prodiced something no manager has done since him.

He also had us playing just as bad as this in his last season with us.

As did Moyes in the two seasons on either side of us finishing 4th.

All managers go through bad patches, the trick is to tell which ones are good enough to get out of that bad patch and which ones aren't. Last year and that fa cup trophy tells me that martinez is good enough. We'll see if I'm right.

The way we're playing isn't acceptable but I don't think it will last forever.

Do rational people not post for months then bump a thread grandstanding over them being supposedly right and someone else wrong?

Hang on.

gets dizzy with self awareness*

Yes, yes they do. God damn right they do.

People seemed happy with the ridiculous performances we were putting in. That it was something that would be turned around. It wasn't and we've seen that.

Nostradamus walks amongst us. We should be a tad more grateful really.
I can't help it if people preferred to rest on their laurels that things would change when there was no evidence that it would.

Standing by and hoping things will change is not the way the team will improve as Roberto has proven.

It was perfectly rational to think that he would turn it round at the time mate. Based on an ace previous season.

But it hasn't worked out that way. It makes so sad.

What do you think of that pal?

It's rotten from the chairman downward. How he hired someone who got a team relegated is unforgivable.

I believe last season was riding on moyes' coat tails with a bit of attacking prowess. I know a lot of people disagree with me but you are wrong. As soon as Roberto got his regime in fully he's [Poor language removed] it up. We have been found out and we have no plan B.
how stupid of Dortmund and Arsenal to hire Klopp and Wenger, since they got their previous teams relegated.

Last season was great and a one dimensional view sees it as martinez brilliance. A proper view sees it as a combination of attacking football and moyes' defensive solidity. Now that has gone and teams have figured how to play against us with no plan B. The future is bleak.
