I wouldn't mind either. Wouldn't have a problem seeing him in another club's shirt - there's too much sentimentality in football - as long as it wasn't against us. His place in the club's history is secure anyway.

I appreciate the feelings for us, its nice to see in a footballer but i really don't see any problem in him doing his job but against us, wouldn't bother me in the slightest.

Got nothing to do with loyality, we let him go because he was past it. If someone else in the Prem wanted him to play for them it wouldn't be unloyal to us in any way if he did.

I reckon its cause he knew he couldn't hack it in the Prem anymore so was too scared to play for anyone else[/not serious!)
