This is Cahill-Watch, not Cahill Bash.
LEAVE IT LADS
Damn straight. Let's blame Cahill for everything, it's all his fault and he forced Moyes to play him and never buy any other decent players. Let's completely forget all the brilliant stuff he did for us and the fact he carried the side with his goals before he went to the Asian Cup.
Blah blah blah.
Tim will come back on loan in January?
I don't think anyone is having a go at Cahill or what he did for the club. Just commenting on how he played in his latter couple of years at the club. There was no mention of his play at Everton until someone mentioned him coming back on loan... and then people gave their opinion on that.
If so, it still doesn't mean people should be claiming he is the reason we didn't do well. To say him leaving for the Asian Cup is why we played better is ridiculous. He was our team until then.

To say he was our team is equally ridiculous, if not even more so. He did okay, in a system that was designed to suit him.
I think it's more to do with the team developing into something better and if anything, outgrowing Tim Cahill, even if he did show a decline in his play. He is an icon of the club, I don't think anyone is denying that but he was also limited in some footballing aspects and that was highlighted in the latter part of his Everton career. Evertonians tend to call it as they see it and I'm with them in the respect that he wasn't up to the standard that we needed at attacking mid; Leon Osman would still be my choice to play there now.
As for the reason for this thread, I wish Tim all the luck in the world in his future endeavours and hope he scores bags full of goals for New York.
He was on TV recently and he said he loved his time at Everton because being there "teaches you what it means to be a blue." He also then went on about how awesome the MLS is because they have fireworks, national anthems, and jet fight flyovers at every game. Horrid.

Quite frankly i think our form this season is largely due to the fact we haven't had Cahill playing behind the striker.
