doing well for NYRB's by all accounts. Settled into a centre mid position

scored his first goal too

I would have him back but only as cover for injuries or if we were cruising against someone so he could have a proper farewell from the fans - I think he has earned that. Would also like to see him back at the club in the future in a coaching role, his enthusiasm and passion for our club and the game in general is infectious!

Quite frankly i think our form this season is largely due to the fact we haven't had Cahill playing behind the striker.

It's definitely a big part. We played better football when he was at the Asia cup and then injured in the season before last too, when Ossie played behind the striker or we had both Saha and Beckford up front. We were far too rigid with Cahill there.

He's not actually playing there for NYRB though, is he? He can get away with playing CM in the states, but not here, to be fair.

He's a Everton legend, but let's be honest lads, he didn't do much for his last two seasons.
He's not a midfielder. He's not an out and out striker. He scored goals though. However, when he stopped scoring goals two years ago, he stopped contributing to the team.

He may be good to have around the club for a few months but he isn't good enough to play in this Everton team.

How has he actually been doing for Red Bulls? I think that video and the goal was from like his first appearance or so.
I tried to google up a bit but I'm not sure if he's scored any more. Some silly americans wrote when he signed for NYRB that his playmaking skills etc are what he's worth but if he hasn't started scoring yet it might be that he's a completely past it.

While he's an Everton hero I'm relieved that he's not a mainstay anymore. I remember reading in a local paper how Everton this season will come 10th or so as Everton replaced Tim Cahill like-for-like with the not as good Steven Pienaar. Lollers.
