Why do folk obsesse about stats? only one that matters is the final result.

Same reason some folk like something that others don’t - we’re all interested in different things.

Personally I find stats interesting.

This team is going to be fine. They look together and solid. Better teams will still beat us but, despite the ridiculous points deduction, at least we will be in the Premier League next season (apologies to the poor souls who think that such a prediction is ‘tempting fate’ and ‘dooming us’ to a relegation struggle).
