Our away form is horrific so a point away would be seen as a decent result. We simply don't look like we have the gameplan to win away from home.
Surely the first priority of any manager, is to make sure this kind of attitude isn’t acceptable. If he’s incapable of motivating the squad then he’s unfit to be here. Can really set the tone with a win here. In a strange way I'd prefer a scrappy, hard-fought 1-0 than ant other type of win, just to see the fight and desire from the players.
I think Silva's doing fine, the problem is the players aren't doing it. They aren't mere puppets, they get told but they have to do it on the pitch. Remember SA telling the media 'I don't kick the ball' when the performances were bad...there IS something about the group dynamic which is off...maybe they as a group feel like they're God's gift and don't have to work all that hard. Have a think about how hard the City players worked as well as their talent.
You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make it drink. A new manager won't solve that any quicker than Silva; things will improve if Gbamin returns with Gomes, a 433 begins, a CB and a Cm arrive in Jan. But don't hold your breath before then

Fair enough - I just can’t get past these cycles of indifference that the players go through.I respect this opinion mate. This time I disagree though, in that I think the problem will settle with time, as the managers position become more secure but yes he has to improve the results. But he needs more time for the playing staff to be turned over and his signings to all be fit.
He also seems to be getting a tune out of DCL to my surprise, that's maybe a brief given to him by Brands, idk.

It’s been happening for too many years now - under four managers. It could suggest there’s a deeper issue running through the club that allows players to think this is acceptable. However the manager needs to be able to recognise that this is happening, and be commanding enough not to allow it.
Got draw or loss written all over it.
This the problem, it isnt, it's very strong, possibly the strongest it's ever been, its Everton that's toilet. On the flip side, a couple of wins and we'd be right back up challenging for 4th/5th/6th
Apart from City and the rs, this league is absolute toilet and anyone who can string 2/3 wins together will shoot up the table.
