Goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon will leave Paris St-Germain when his contract expires at the end of the month.

Is that his last chance of winning the Champions League gone? Thought when he went there he had a great chance. That Man U penalty given against them was a travesty.

Can see him retiring unless another CL chasing team takes a punt. Think that’s the reason he didn’t retire last year.

If he does retire he leaves as one of the greatest goalkeepers to have played the game. Only Schmeichel and Casillas come close in my lifetime.

I would put 1995 Southall above Casillas mate, to me he is all fur coat and no knickers. He made everything look flashy but made people around him worry and was questionable dealing with crosses. Sometimes you just luck in that you play for brilliant teams where you can get away with it.

I regard (before head injury) Cech and Neuer and de Gea above him also.
