Will I get the new BT sport? I've got virgin. If its something we won't have automatically I'll fume. They are gonna be showing a LOT of matches, not just the odd 5 o'clock you get on espn.

I can see them wanting more doe for that cos as you say there are gonna be a lot more games on.

Love Virgin Media and no doubt they will have BT Sport soon - wouldn't be surprised to see it as part of a "sports" package rather than "sky sports" like it is now. Either way doesn't affect me.

And it will happen as BT will gain alot more money by selling to Virgin/Sky even though they are in competition - hence Virgin having sky channels and vice versa

I thought Virgin showed ESPN for free as part of their package by using its Prem coverage as an incentive to subscribe to Virgin rather than Sky.

Now they don't have Prem games Virgin don't think its worth it i guess.

£12 a month for BT Sport. Nothing on that channel yet by the looks of things

I was watching Sky Sports this morning so I didn't check if the channels were still there

Will do so when I get home

I imagine they should be as I've signed up with BT now

I'll definitely be leaving VM when my contract expires, their BB is great but the XL tv package I'm on is crap.

They just don't seem to care about providing quality tv to its customers.

So through gritted teeth, I will get a Sky deal instead.

I hate paying Sky all that money, but the service is generally very good

I can honestly say that if I've ever had a problem with the Sky TV or Internet, I've been able to call them up and they've been very polite and have always worked really hard to sort it out

I had something like a 5 minute chat with someone once about Rangers (Cos all the contact centres are based in Scotland)

She was actually from Motherwell and scoffed when I asked if she supported them

XL on VM without ESPN is like getting a sandwich with **** all on it but margarine.

They can frig right off with that.

Im only still with Virgin cos of their BB, used it since it started and have probably had like 5 hours downtime or problems in the last 15 Years or however long ive had it, my mar was with talktalk and she went weeks on end without it working.

How much would you have to pay a month to get teh XL package and all the Sky channels as well?

I'm paying £87 a month for the full XL package, sky sports, 20 meg broadband and some phone deal.

Yeah i know, i'm being ripped off but never get round to phoning up and making it cheaper cause i'm sure they'll lower that a fair bit if i threaten to leave.

You should ring them mate, look up a few other deals with rivals and remember some basic details of those deals, then ring them and vaguely quotes bits of other deals and tell them you're off, got my mum to do that with Virgin recently and it dropped her bill by about a third for 12 months.
