Was fine last night

Not awful and not great

Did a job and didn't look out of place

Typical performance from a player designated to be "back up"

So long as he stays healthy, we've nothing to fear if he's put in the side

Good to see him have a crack at goal in the second half as well. Wasn't a bad effort

Everton fans seem to hate squad players. Oviedo is a dependable and versatile player who won't ever kick up a stink if he's not first choice, but will always give it 100% when he's called upon.

furthermore he LOVES the club.

Weird lot we are. Rip on some of our best players for not bleeding blue, or rip on squad players who love the club and can step up when needed for not being good enough.

Knocks and injuries happen. Baines is getting on in age and has missed time last couple seasons. Nice to know we have someone who cna temporarily fill the void. And who knows, with a run of of match time might regain most of his 2014 form.
