brown and if theirs a choice available then it has to be daddy's, hp second, tried a branston one and would rate it 3rd, would rate chop below the tarty sachets that just dont taste right.

And i will try this Tim,though would i spoil such an experiment by including grated cheese into the recipe ?

The thought has never occured to me Vim but I like your thinking. No doubt the type of cheese is paramount to the success of this new dish. Putting Edam on it is a no no, Cheddar of course works great with eveything, but if your planning on melting it then Lancashire works very well in such situations.

Kel I was wondering you are well travelled ,good with locks, are you a fugitive bank robber:lol::lol:

What kind of a sick super criminal would endanger the worlds sanity by destroying one of the great sauces of the world??

I for one couldnt live with myself knowing the fate of sauce ie; peoples very sanity, would rest upon my shoulders.

Well if you twist my arm Id say say Tomato. Brown sauce is great but it doesnt go with everything.

And the ketchup lovers...where do you get off. T-Sauce would wipe the floor with K-Chup anyday of the week.

Salad cream on chips is a delight.

Just thought that i'd share that.

Oh yes! I've just rediscovered salad cream on corned beef butties with just a bit of lettuce (home grown) and tomato (not yet ready in the greenhouse)
yummy

Can't decide on the sauce though - life is already too complicated but on the basis that I don't have anything red in the house on morality grounds, it has to be brown sauce.
I close my eyes when I eat RED tomatoes.
