If we get the same number of Monday night games as last season, or anywhere near it, that's me done. I'm already regretting renewing, but I felt I owed it to my matchday mates. Now I've warned them that I'm unlikely to renew next time, so I won't feel at all guilty ditching the season ticket.
I've enjoyed the new stadium, but it's not a Goodison experience, and - for me - a round trip of 400 miles these days, plus the trudge to and from the stadium, is getting less and less attractive. The football is, at best, dull and at times unwatchable. The club has hiked the season ticket price way beyond inflation without any explanation, and in general I feel completely disconnected from Everton - a situation which has been building over the past few years. The current owners seem competent enough, but we still have no idea what their ambitions or plans for the club are.
With Seamus gone, there are no players who have an affinity with the club either.
