Tadic was playing centraly first half and it was usualy mane he was up against!

Tadic played from the right when I was watching. A couple of times he wasn't close enough to Tadic who you could just tell fancied his opportunities against Galloway. If you watch for the cross Tadic puts in for Pelle, Galloway should be closer.

Fair enough, the game I watched was Mane in behind with Tadic from the right. Either way, Tadic drifted to the right and Galloway wasn't always close enough. That is the salient point I was making.

Galloway was marking him at the time and didn't get close enough to make an attempt at stopping the cross. Baines is guilty of this at times as well

Yep, in an earlier post I said he didn't get close enough at times. Not a big problem, the worst that happens is that someone crosses early from a far out position, and you leave it to two England centre halfs to defend. If a youngster gets too tight on a player at this level he gets skinned, the guy is in behind him attacking our defence and dragging a centre half out of position to cover. I would imagine he has been told not to get too close , or to dive in ..... But more importantly they will be reviewing the video with him discussing options , improvements that can be made and ending the analysis with the conclusion " you did pretty good on Saturday, things to improve on , well done."

But Galloway is a CB not an LB.

He's alright, although there were a few times against Southampton that if he was against a much better winger - he'd be done.

Hopefully his injury isn't too bad. He got badly let down today, exposed way to much.

People will rip into him but he had no cover at all. Browning too.

Very poor form from the manager to play young players out of position against City, and not protect them.

He was isolated and the manager shouldn't have allowed it to continue. Then to replace him with browning was even more bizzare

Puzzled me as well that oviedo was not even on the bench

Should have had Cleverly on his side of the pitch.

If Oviedo is injured again, then may be worth bringing a left back in.
Personally I would have looked to sign Lescott instead of Mori.
