I'm still sick, and have occasional nosebleeds... but because I have no capillaries in my nostril I can't stop it bleeding, so I've lost so much blood I more or less passed out last night, instead of falling asleep.

Yay.

BURN IT WITH FIRE.
This is the terrifying 4ft-long rat that was discovered by a gas worker in London, and it is the stuff of nightmares.
Engineer Tony Smith discovered the animal’s corpse, which he says weighed about 25lbs, while working on a block of flats in Hackney, east London.
He says that he found the monstrous creature lying in a busy next to a children’s playground which backed onto a railway line near Hackney Downs.
Tony, 46, said: ‘This is the largest rat I’ve ever seen in my entire life.
‘I’ve got a cat and a Jack Russell and it was bigger than both of those put together. I’d say it was about four foot.
‘We were going to stick it in the bin, but before we did we thought we better take a picture or people won’t believe it’s real.’

Tony also said that the estate where he has been working has suffered a rat infestation – and thinks that their ‘good diet’ could have resulted in the rat’s mammoth size.
He said: ‘The bins get left open nearby so these little fellas have a pretty good diet.’
The rat’s supposedly mammoth size comes after warnings from pest control experts – who say that rats are becoming immune to traditional poisons.

It’s also thought that they are becoming bigger as they feed off discarded takeaways and thrown away food.
Shuddder.
Evolutionary biologist's postulate that rats will become as big as cows and be an apex predator ...can't recall the time frame but it would have to be a long one.
Interesting post btw...
