This is how we roll down in Grimdon. Old man grumbles to the press that a footpath isn't fit for bicycles.

Furious pensioner slams 'dangerous' footpath after narrowly avoiding injury
6352766

A PUBLIC footpath has been branded “dangerous” by angry residents after a pensioner was almost thrown off his bike.

Frederick Macclay, 77, from Liden, was cycling around the lake, located just off Shaftesbury Avenue, on Monday when his tyres skidded on the uneven surface.

He somehow just about managed to retain his balance but Frederick, who suffers from a bad back, was shocked to think about what could have happened to him if he had come off his bike.

“It’s a disgrace, I could have been seriously hurt,” he said. “Luckily I jumped off my bike just in time.”

...dangerous with all of those low flying aircraft on the flight path by you.

...so I've agreed that Mrs Eggs can join me in the retirement ranks at the end of this month. She's won't pick up her Civil Service pension for another 18 months but she deserves to leave early after looking after me for so long and bringing up two amazing kids.

I suspect there'll be plenty of holidays whilst we've both got good health.
Mrs Typhoo will allow me to join the retirement ranks in December, a week before the Government allows me. Gives me a week to get my breath back before Christmas.

...no looking back then. I'm quite a few years off state pension but Mrs Eggs joining me means plenty of holidays. Nipping to Madeira next week to see Ronaldo's statue, the weather doesn't look too hot though.

We're both 64 going on 50. Already booked a pre-retirement Norwegian Fjords cruise for August and will have a post- retirement week in Puerto del Mogan, Gran Canaria, in January.

New series of Roseanne to be made.. *dead*

http://www.rollingstone.com/tv/news/roseanne-barr-reviving-roseanne-for-new-season-in-2018-w482626

Roseanne is returning to ABC for an eight-episode revival, two decades after the blue-collar family sitcom ended its nine-season run on the network.

The core original cast – Roseanne Barr (Roseanne), John Goodman (Dan), Sara Gilbert (Darlene), Laurie Metcalf (Jackie), Michael Fishman (D.J.) and Lecy Goranson (Becky) – will return for the reboot, which premieres in 2018, Deadline reports.

Sarah Chalke, who intermittently played Becky from 1993 to 1997, will appear as a different character. It remains unclear if Johnny Galecki, current star of CBS sitcom juggernaut The Big Bang Theory, will reprise his role as David. Tom Werner and Bruce Helford will return to executive produce, alongside Barr and Gilbert.

The original Roseanne, one of Rolling Stone's 100 Greatest TV Shows of All Time, followed the working class Conner family, who used deadpan humor to counter the struggles of everyday life. The show, acclaimed for its gritty depiction of American life and for Barr's performance as the abrasive matriarch, racked up 25 Primetime Emmy nods (including four wins) during its initial ABC run.

ABC Entertainment chief Channing Dungey alluded to that relatable spirit in her statement announcing the revival. "The Conners' joys and struggles are as relevant – and hilarious – today as they were then, and there's really no one better to comment on our modern America than Roseanne," she said.

While the story structure remains unclear, the casting of Goodman seemingly confirms that the character is no longer dead. In the series finale, Roseanne's character revealed that Dan's heart attack at the end of Season 8 was actually fatal and his subsequent appearances part of a fantasized coping mechanism. But, as Deadline notes, Barr wrote in a 2009 blog post that she'd concocted a workaround plot – "Dan shows up alive after faking his own death" – in the event of a reunion.

Same here but it's costing north of £1k
Holy...

What's wrong with it ffs?

Mine was ignition coil. Third cylinder was misfiring/not firing at all and it sounded like a tractor, turned out it was a combo of coil + the sparkplug.

Used to sound like a tractor (especially when cold), but now it's back to purring :)

*It is a small/old car as well like.

New clutch assembly, slave cylinder and dual mass flywheel. The car only cost me £900 but is worth spending money on

I see. Well you're still not spending *too* much for what you're doing, especially if it's a brand new clutch.

What car is it mate? Mine is an old Fiat Bravo (Mk. I, 1997), but is really boss, despite it being Italian and small lol at least it's nippy and mileage around the "big city" here is fine like.
