Thinking of climbing an as yet undecided mountain year for a local mental health cause, but it'll be a costly venture.

The way it normally works mate is that you get quite a big discount if you enter as a group over a certain amount of people - usually 10 / 15. If you enter by yourself it costs a bomb.

The reason it's so expensive is due to liability issues, that's the world we live in unfortunately.

When you say a " mountain ", do you mean a proper trek with overnighters involved or up and down in a day ?.

My brother went up Kilimanjaro a few years ago for charity and that cost a fortune, however loads of us chipped in with things like sleeping bags, a tent etc.

Tasted horrible, like bad eggs taste to it. not sure if it was the water or the bottle itself, certainly had a smell when i emptied the water out
