As a geologist turned science teacher I've been teaching that dinosaurs were dying out for millions of years before this meteor impact, for over 27 years and sounding like a crank in the face of every media source on the planet saying "meteor." Goes to show what power the media have over truth / fact and the fact that they'll happily ignore both of these if it means they can use special effects.
Amazing it's taken this long for (another) study to surface.
