I always buy Nike Air or Nike Shox, only problem is the chav image associated with them but they're my favourite shoes, not gonna stop wearing them because of a stereotype

on this subject of brand loyalty, i have decided to switch one of my allegiances, following a visit to home and bargain during which i bought some Golden Wonder crisps, i have decided to ditch Walkers as the g.w. ones set my tastebuds alive (this may well be 'cos i've stopped smoking), this is a full circle for me as when i was kid my 'arl fella worked for g.w. and i used to eat sackloads of the things.

i just have to remember that crisp bags aren't universally colour coded now.

Buy mostly Asics. Have 3 pairs of Asics Kanabarras. Pretty sweet shoe and only costs about $50 US. I also wear Sketchers, Adidas campus (don't like any other Adidas), and those Puma suede shoes.

Usually K-Swiss, i have around 20 pairs at last count. I also have quite a few pairs of Nike and Adidas. I think i may be obsessed with buying them to be honest.

millets that own the brand have gone into receivership though, so the brand could die, along with blacks outdoor shop.

Sorry, just looked it up. O'Neill are in no danger. They are a US company based in California and not affiliated with Millets or Blacks in any way. They are in exceedingly good financial shape and will not be going away anytime soon.

O'Neill, the creators of the wetsuits are just fine. Don't know about Millets though......

It was last year i heard it though.
BBC NEWS | Business | Administrators called to O'Neill

Administrators called to O'Neill

Outdoor clothing firm Blacks has called in administrators to its 11 O'Neill boardwear stores - threatening 90 jobs.
Blacks said there was "no reasonable prospect" of restoring loss-making Sandcity - its subsidiary which owns the stores - to profit.
Administrator KPMG said the leisure market had been "affected profoundly" by the recession.
On Tuesday Blacks warned that it would breach its bank lending terms after worse-than-expected trading.
Its bank, Lloyds, has said it would waive the breach of its covenants until November if Blacks gets an approved turnaround plan in place.
The "ongoing prospects of the group will be uncertain", without the bank's leniency, Blacks warned.
Radical approach
The O'Neill stores are in Birmingham, York, Glasgow, Milton Keynes, Sheffield, Bristol, Brighton, Leeds, Bluewater in Kent, and two in Manchester.
Blacks also has 32 Freespirit stores, which continue to trade and are unaffected.
The company currently has 256 Millets stores and and 116 Blacks Outdoor outlets.
Blacks' original plan was to convert its boardwear stores into branches of either Blacks or Millets.
However it has been reported that the bank was unhappy with this solution, and had demanded more radical approach.

maybe they had permission from o'neill to use the name on some of the shops, and it isn't anything to do with the clothing label. All of mine are from the Freespirit shop in the Trafford Centre.

Probably franchises. O'Neill is a powerhouse over here. They have gear in pretty much every department store across the land. Plus with their operations in California and Hawaii.....they must be making a pretty penny.

Usually have a pair of Stan Smiths in the cupboard whatever else I'm wearing. Best shoes ever.
I like Etnies too, they last forever.
Been wearing these for the last year:

Had a proper mad dream last night after reading this thread. I was looking through some magazine and there were these green and white trainers by Adidas called Food. They were chunky, a little like Vans, but they were Adidas, and they were £300 notes.

Weird.
