Exactly. Mixing a dig about football in with a message about Bradley is awfully poor taste. But then this is Newcastle.

Like I said, I reckon it was well meant, but on reflection, not exactly well thought through.

They had an online vote, and that one won by a squeak. The 2nd placed one was "Enjoy the Championship, we did"

A far better choice imo.

It doesn't matter too much whether they meant well or not. If you've gone through the effort of funding and flying a banner over a stadium then you should have thought it through. So either they did and they're collectively tits, or they didn't and they're collectively idiots. Or a bit of both.

Fly a banner having a dig by all means, but any well wishing to Bradley should be completely separate from that.

So it appears there has been a lot of controversy about the banner that is getting flown over the SOL today. I would just like to say we don't feel the banner is offensive or insensitive, I can understand why some people feel it is not appropriate. However the only thing we thought of when we heard about the banner is it was very thoughtful of people to want to raise awareness and raise funds for Bradley Frankie and Hope.

I don't have any kids but I have nieces and nephews. I feel like he's one of my nephews, whom I love more than anything in the world. I come into this every update knowing knowing it's eventual end and I honestly get teary. No kid should have to go through what he has.

Bradley has had an amazing day, we didn't think we would get there as you are all aware he is in a lot of pain with his legs and you could see this in the photos taken today. We checked and double checked with Bradley if he still wanted to go to the match today and he insisted he was going. He has fantastic determination and will power and who are we to disagree with him . I also thought we would leave early but Bradley had other ideas and stopped till the very end. He is very tired now and we back at hospital chilling out watching horrid Henry. Thank you to everyone who supported Bradley today and bought a match day program.

They are a classy family.
