I'd hoped that the proposed treatment in the US would give him a fighting chance. This is properly upsetting.

I have 3 kids. Two girls and a boy. The lad is 10 and my own dad lost a boy who was 9.

Growing up i never really got it. Now, I wonder how the hell he got out of bed on a morning. I might have a tough 2017 coming up but by christ I doubt it will be anything like what this family and so many other families are going through.

I say to my own kids to cherish every bloody moment as you never know what is around the corner and as I get older I understand this more and more.

This has really hit me. After all by the grace of God and all that.
